Hinkler is acting as navigator to Captain Barnard 'in the 750 m^ es round Britain race, for the Kings Cup on July 5. Over a hundred civil aeroplanes have entered.
A FATAL COLLISION
[BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, June 12. Two Royal Air Force aeroplanes crashed at Upavon (Wiltshire) today, as the result of a collision. One was a. Bulldog machine piloted by Lord Malcolm Douglas Hamilton, third son of tho Duke of Hamilton. He escaped by jumping from the machine, with a parachute. Tho other machine which was a Horsley, was piloted by Scrgt. Frederick O’Meara, who was killed. 'lt carried a passenger. Leading Aircraftsman Spagan who was not injured. '
