HOKITIKA v. GREYMOUTH A team of Greymouth ladies visited ' Hokitika yesterday and played a ’ friendly game. Bell (Wellington) scr, one up at the nineteenth. Misses B. Gaisford (Marton) and M. Guy (Manawatu) scr. beat Mrs Mackie (Masterton) and Miss Pharazyn (Napier) handicap four, one up at the nineteenth. Both were good matches, with golf a little unsteady at times. In the first semi-final, the Masterton pair when three down at the fourteenth, played good golf to square the game at the eighteenth and win the deciding hole. In the other semi-final, Mackie and Pharazyn were one up at the sixteenth. The seventeenth was halved, but the game was squared at the eighteenth. Misses Qaisford and Guy took the nineteenth hole, Guy sinking a long putt.
