New Zealand established a record for the Dominions with an entry of 13,147 boys in the King’s Prize miniature rifle shooting competition. Australia had 2370 entrants. . Sixteen of the Australians and thirteen of the New Zealanders ’won medals for scores of 97 or higher. . New Zealand has ten units, all Aucklanders, headed by Auckland Grammar School (thirteenth) among the Empire’s best hundred units. Sydney came eleventh, and was the best of Australia’s seven honour units. South Africa, with an average of 83.2 points, won the King’s Trophy in Empire miniature rifle shooting. Canada was second with 80.25. Britain was third with 69.46. New Zealand came fourth with 66.49. Australia, did not qualify.
