PARNELL BY-ELECTION

MR JENKINS JOINS REFORM. [per press association.] AUCKLAND, March 26. Mr H. R. Jenkins, who resigned the Parnell seat in the House of Representatives, intends to join the Reform League. He has intimated his willingness to abide by the result of a ballot by which the official Reform candidate will bo selected. Thus, if Mr Jenkins is not chosen as the official Reform candidate by a conference of delegates to be convened for that purpose he will not be a candidate at the byelection. All the Parties are actively preparing. Although many names are mentioned, no candidates are selected yet.
