GERMANS TOUR ENGLAND.

BERLIN, March 13.
Assisted by the generosity of an English sportsman’s contribution of £2OO, fifteen German cricketers will make a fortnight’s tour of England in August, playing four matches. It is hoped, thereby to increase the German youths’ interest in the game.
The following will represent the Greymouth third grade schoolboys against Hokitika on the Recreation Ground at 10.30 a.m. to-morrow: —O. Morris (Captain), Collett, Marshall, Greening, Duffy, O’Grady, Ashby, Kibble, Gilbert, Rose, McDiarmid. Emergency: Hart. The following will represent Marist juniors against Watersiders at Omoto on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. sharp: Bayley, Morris, Rose, Lord, Kiely (2), D. O’Neill, Sheehan, O’Donnell, Casey, Gilbert.
Owing to several of the men selected being unable to travel, the cricket team which was to leave to-morrow for Westport, will not make the trip.
