PALESTINE COMMISSION
REPORT FAVOURS ARABS.
(By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.)
LONDON, March 9.
The “Daily News” states: It is understood that the Palestine Commission, which is shortly making its report, will recommend that a wider interpretation should be given to the Balfour Declaration regarding a Jewish National Home in Palestine. The Commission takes the view that the time is not ripe for the Zionists to assume control of Palestine.
The findings of the Commission probably will be generally in favour of the Arabs and they may raise the whole question of the future of the British Mandate over Palestine. Mr Snell, Labour member of the Commission, has reported that he has made reservations to the report, but otherwise the recommendations are ' unanimous.
