OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. “Lonesome,” the action of the story, is laid in the world’s greatest playground, and consists of swimming in the surf, riding madly over the dizzy heights of a scenic railway rising towards the sides in a Ferris wheel and pausing in a fairy palace. Bands play' ing, people 'shoulting, confetti flying, everybody happy. Starring in z this great production are Glenn Tryon, the famous comedian in a role of great comedy and great drama. It is a unique story of great power depicting the romance of an everyday boy and girl who are lonesome, although living among millions of people, until they find each other and happiness. Tim McCoy in “Sioux Blood” gives another great out-door romance and is ably supported by Marion Douglas. The story deals with two brothers who were separated in childhood by an Indian massacre and re-united over the woman they both loved. Emil Jennings will appear in “The Way of the Flesh” at Sunday’s picture 1 ' benefit. MONDAY AND TUESDAY NEXT. Michael Lanyard, the “Lone Wolf, visits America to meet his adopted daughter, Adrienne. At an art sale hfl outbids Helen Fairchild for an an tique vafce, and wins her displeasure. While she is bargaining with Count Polinac for a painting, Lanyard humiliates her by exposing it as a fake. He succeeds in preventing the Count and his accomplice, Velma, from stealing a valuable jewel. Adrienne presents him to Bobby Crenshaw, of an old wealthy New York family, to whom she has become attached. Lanyard goes to the Fairchild home, to leave the vase Helen so greatly desired. Helen refuses to accept the vase without paying for it. Lanyard steals a kiss, and leaves the astonished woman. Lam yard, Miss Fairchild, the Count , and Velma, meet again at the Crenshaw’s tc attend an engagement party foi Adrienne and Bobby. The Count riflefj Lanyard’s baggage, and Lanyard per forms a similar task in the Count s room. He is discovered by the latter, who threatens him with arrest. Lanyard tells the Count he will reveal his plot to substitute the false for the real pearls. The Count steals to the garage, and telephones Mrs Crenshaw. The Count purports to be speaking from police headquarters, and informs her the “Lone Wolf” is operating in the neighbourhood. The guests at the Count’s suggestion agree to place their jewels in the safe for the night- Gndei the penalty of exposing him the Count forces Lanyard, to open the sale. Next morning the jewels are gone. lhe Count accuses Lanyard. A photograph by the television apparatus reveals the Count and Velma as inter national crooks. They are arrested. Lanyard discloses the jewels safely hidden in a box file, where lie placed them. The “Done Wolf’s” daughtei can be screened for two nights only.

HOSPITAL JUMBLE STALL.The ladies’ committee of Hospital Day are holding a jumble stall at the Empire Hotel corner on Saturday, March 8. Donations of fruit, flowers, vegetables, cakes etc., will be thank fully received and may be sent to Messrs Rugg and Co. Hospital Day should be a big affair this year with the assistance of the citizens.
