MIDSUMMER FLO VVEBS. ■ Tlie“Holy Trinity Church’s midsummer flower show was held in Trinity Hall this afternoon. The display of flowers, considering the unfavourable weather conditions which have been experienced for some time, was a fine one, especi ally in the decorative section. The entries were comparatively few, but the quality of most of the flowers exhibited, was high. The flower stalls’ beautiful collection of many different varieties of blooms, attracted attention. Miss Lmdbom, of Cobden, had an interesting exhibition of paper-work flowers, all Ol which were for sale. The decorated tables were particularly well done. The ladies assisting in various stalls were -.—Jumble, Mrs Phillips ; Flowers Mesdam.es Seddon, Kitchingham al }d White; Tea-rooms, Mesdames Leach, Roach, Tomlinson, Mackley, Schaei, and Mayo. The judges of the sections were Mesdames A. R. Wallis and E. Harley (decorative) and Mr F. Kendrick (cut flowers and produce). Their awards were as follow: pIqWEBS.
