RHINELAND EVACUATION

A message from Coblenz states that night-long celebrations marked the completion of the French military evacuations of the Second Rhineland Zone. Special trains brought visitors there from all over the West Germany. Bonfires vrere lighted on the river heights. An impressive feature was the observance of three minutes silence in the midst of the festivities, in memory of the German dead.
