— MILITARY APPOINTMENTS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 28. ’ Among the changes notified m the New Zealand military forces are the following:—Major General R. Young has been granted an extension of two years in the period of his appointment as Commandant. Captain A. Le G. Campbell (Highland Light Infantry, who was on exchange from the British Army in India), having left New Zealand, relinquishes his appointment of Adjutant of the First Battalion of the Wellington Regiment. Captain L. W. Andrew, having returned from a tour of exchange with the British Army in India, is appointed Adjutant of the First Battalion of the Wellington Regiment. Captain F. L. Hunt relinquishes his appointment as Area Officer for area 11A„ Dunedin, to which post Lieut. A. H. Sugden, who has returned from a tour of exchange with the British Army in India, has been appointed. Lieut. J. R. Page, having completed his training at Sandhurst, and his attachment to the king’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, has returned to New

Zealand this month, and is appointed area officer for area SA, Wellington. Lieut. H. G. Woolier, who returned to New Zealand last month, after completing training at Sandhurst, and his attachment to the Buffs (East Kent Regiment), is attached to Area 5A., Wellington. Lieutenant Colonel H. C. Hemphill, North Auckland Mounted Rifles, relinquishes command of that regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers.
