The Dominion ladies’ hockey championships were carried a stage further to-day, in ideal spring-like weather, there being a. large attendance of the public. ■ Section A. —Poverty Bay A. beat Btish by 6 goals to nil. Rotorua beat South Canterbury by 2 goals to I‘. Southland beat Auckland .A. by 2 goals to 1.

Section-B. —Canterbury beat Poverty Bay B. by 15 goals to nil. Eastern beat Auckland. B. by 6 goals to 1. Wellington beat Hawke’s Bay by 4 goals to

• At the conclusion of today’s play the position was as follows: — Section A. —Poverty Bay three wins, Ruahine two wins, Southland two wins, Bush, South Canterbury and Auckland no wins. Ruahine and Southland played only two matches, having had a bye.
