POLICE OFFENCES ACT MELBOURNE, August 24. The Victorian Government is tightening the Police Offences Statutes. A bill is now before Parliament to prohibit fraudulent advertisements, betting in streets and hotels, and taking sketches or photographs of judges, barristers, accused persons or witnesses in judicial proceedings.
