( The Buller Golf Club has decided to accept the West Coast Golf Championship this year. The tourney will take place on September 4,5, and 6. BILLIARDS. SYDNEY, July 29. Willie Smith (England) has commenced a billiard time limit match against the New Zealand champion, McConachy, at the Y.M.C.A. Hall, Sydney. The scores are: —(McConachy 1889 (breaks 764, 532, 183 and 182); Smith 1678 (breaks 182, 365, 433). The New Zealander was in splendid form on the first day, which is regarded as very satisfactory, as he is a notoriously bad starter.
