PRUSSIAN COMMUNISTS
UPROAR IN DIET
MAY-DAY RIOTS SEQUEL
(Times Cables.) (By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.)
(Recd. May 14,, 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 13. “The Times’s” Berlin correspondent writes: — “Murderer of workers! Bloodhound !” shouted the Communists as Herr Qrezesinsky, Minister of the Interior, appeared in the Prussian Diet prior to the debate on the Communist No-confidence motion in connection with the May Day disturbances.
The Communists declared that the Socialists’ fears of their competition had caused a prohibition of the demonstrations. They accused Police Chief Zorgiebel with the responsibility for the bloodshed.
The Communists made objectionable interjections. Pandemonium followed, and calls of order which they ignored. Grezesinsky was howled down.
The President then ordered the Communist, ■ Janderdski, who was shouting “Red Front for ever” to sit down. The President then suspended the sitting, but Janderdski continued excitedly to repeat the battle cry. The President, on the resumption, suspended him for twenty days. The sitting was twice again suspended until Grezesinsky completed his remarks. • He asserted that deliberate attacks against the police could not be handled with kid gloves. Prussian and German police treated journalists much more mildly than did police abroad. The No-confidence motion was lost, the Communistsi thrice shouting “Red Front,” amid derisive laughter from the remainder of the House.
