The eminent contralto, Miss Kathleen Garven, and New Concert Party will make their appearance at the Town Hall this evening. The ball held at Nelson Creek on Saturday was completely successful. It was a perfect night for dancing and the crowd who attended made the most of it. The programme was arranged to suit all tastes and gave general satisfaction. The hall was decorated exceptionally well, reflecting the greatest credit on the' committee, who had this matter to attend to. Steel’s Orchestra gave of their best. The supper left nothing to be desired, being of the daintiest. This reflects credit on the ladies’; committee who had _ charge l of* the catering. The Lucky One-Step was won by Miss Fisher and Mr M.
