Mr Alan L. Steele was a passenger to Christchurch by to-day’s express.

Miss Hazel Lawn will arrive from Christchurch, on vacation, this afternoon.

Mr and Mrs W. H. Boucher,, who have been visiting Australia, will return by to-day’s express.

Messrs E. L. Kehoe and B. M. Davis of the Greymouth Technical Schoo staff, left to-day for Dunedin.

Mr. Lionel Clarke, of the Technical School staff, left for Christchurch today. \

Misses McDonald, Moore, Robertson and Watt left by this morning’s express, to spend their vacation in Christchurch.

Mr Rattray, of Dunback (Otago), has been appointed Home Missionary to Totara Flat, and will commence his duties on May 19.

Mr T. D. Milne, instructor of engineering at the Westport Technical School, has accepted a position at Nelson.

Mrs Raymond Parker, of Timaru, and her daughter, Mrs J. K. Olney, of Ceylon, will arrive in Greymouth this afternoon, on a visit to Mrs'' Parker’s son, Mr W. Macintosh Murray, and son-in-law, Mr H, V. Mathias, of Punakaiki. Mrs Olney is a sister of Mrs H. P. Olney, formerly of Punakaiki, but now of Ceylon.

A tribute to the memory of the late W. F. Massey was paid by 1 a large number of members of the Reform League and friends and supporters of the departed Prime Minister, who visited his tomb at Point Halswell yesterday morning, on th© fourth anniversary of his death. There were no speeches, but a solemn procession placed wreaths of remembrance, over the vault where' the casket will lie when the memorial, now in process of construction, is completed, and then descended to view the casket below. —Press Assn.

The death occurred at Totara Flat, last night, after a long illness, of Mrs Hanora Kennedy, aged 6G. She was a native of Kindara, Galway, Ireland, and the widow of Patrick Kennedy, who died last June. Deceased arrived on the West Coast about forty-five years ago, and had been at T otara Flat for many years. She leaves a family of three daughters, Mrs P. J. Fitzgerald (Ikamatua), Mrs M. McGrath (Greymouth) and Miss N. Kennedy (Totara Flat), and five sons, Hugh and Martin (Christchurch), and John, Patrick, and James (atf home). The funeral will leave the Catholic Church, Totara Flat, at 11 a.m. on Monday for the Ahaura Cemetery.
