. ROSS NOMINATIONS Only the required number were nominated for the Ross Borough Council, namely: Messrs W. Blacklow, P. Bridgeman, J. Holmes, K. May, M. Nolan, R. Parker, R. Richards, A. Thompson and James Thomson. For Hokitika Harbour Board, Mr. W. E. Richards was nominated. Mr. H. Osmers has been elected Mayor, unopposed.
HAWERA' CANDIDATES, (Per Press Association.? HAWERA, April 19. Mr E. A. Pacey was returned unopposed as Mayor? . For the Borough Council there a r e eleven nominees for the nine seats. The following were returned ump- * posed :—South Taranaki Power Board, L. A. Bone, E. A. Pacey. Hawera Hospital Board, F. Gillanders, W. G Simpson. Patea Harbour Board, 8. Blake. . A poll will be taken on the change of the half-holiday from Wednesday to Saturday. STRATFORD. STRATFORD, April 19. Nominations for the Mayoralty are as follow: J. W. McMillan (sitting Mayor) N. B. Fletcher, and C. Moore (Councillors), and C. R. Finnerty. There are thirteen nominations for nine seats on the Council.”
