MEETINGS

COBDEN SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The monthly meeting of the Cobden School Committee was held last evening in the schoolroom. Present: Messrs J. Mead (Chairman), A. Gunn (Secretary), Scorgie, Mesdames Sexton and Gilmour. Th Canterbury Education Board wrote that subsidy on asphalting was approved. The Headmaster reported on various requirements and it was resolved that the tanks be cleaned out at the earliest opportunity. Being the last meeting before the annual election, the Chairman returned thanks to members for their courtesy and assistance during the year* especially mentioning the work of their energetic secretary. The year had been good and he trusted that all would see their way clear to stand tor another year.
