AUSTRALIAN TROTTERS. CHRISTCHURCH, April 3. The New Zealand Trotting Board has appointed Mr. J. H. Williams and Mr. W. Hayward as a special committee, to go into the question of the handicapping of Australian horses imported into New Zealand. The Chairman said that the matter was creating considerable discussion at present. ALL-AGED STAKES. (Per Wireless). RANDWICK SALES. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, April 3. At the opening of the yearly sales at Randyrick, bidding was quiet. The top price, sixteen hundred guineas, was paid by a New Zealand, C, Elgar, for a Rossendale —Demerter colt. A Spearhead—Battery Queen colt, already named Vagabond King, fetched thirteen hundred and fifty guineas, going to a Victorian, F. Musgrove. Other New Zealand buyers were K. I. Caro, Polycrates—Black Tea filly, ninety’ guineas; Eaton Lad — Sidorus gelding, forty, and Beaufort — Lady Sindha colt, forty-five, and J. W. Cathro, Hades —The Kettle gelding, sixty, and Sir Dighton—Patrine gelding, fifty.
