XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that under and by virture of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” and its Amendments, and “The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925,” and its Amendments, and the Regulations under the Acts referred to herein, an ELECTION of MAYOR and SIX COUNCILLORS for the Borough of Runanga will be held on WEDNESDAY, the Ist day of MAY, 1929, and further notice is hereby given that I appoint the Town Clerk’s Office, Carroll Street, Runanga, as the place, and WEDNESDAY, the 17th day of April, 1927, as the DAY FOR NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES. Nomination papers must be signed by TWO ELECTORS and the CANDIDATE, and must be delivered to the Returning Officer, or addressed to him, and delivered at the Town Clerk's Office, Carroll Street, Runanga, before NOON on the said 17th day of APRIL. Every Candidate for the office of MAYOR or COUNCILLOR must, at the time of nomination, deposit with the Returning Officer the sum of £lO (ten pounds) in the case of the Mayor, and £3 (three pounds) in the case of Councillor.
