HOKITIKA NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) HOKITIKA, April 2. The funeral of the late Isaac Brown took place on the afternoon of Easter Sunday, and was one of the largest seen in the district for many years. The members of the Masonic fraternity and Druids’ Lodge were in attendance. At All Saints Church the Rev. Nelson Wright conducted the service. " At the graveside, Wor. Bro. Rev. Nelson Wright, Wor. Bro. Rev. KnowlesSmith and Bro. Rev. J. W. Hayward participated in the service. Many floral tokens of sympathy were sent by friends. There was a large number of holiday makers at Lake Kanieri yesterday afternoon, when the Lake Kanieri Boat Club held a speed boat regatta. With the ideal weather that prevailed, and the beautiful surroundings, a most pleasant day was spent.
