BOATING MISHAP

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I wish to correct a series of errors in your report regarding our boating mishap on Sunday last. In the first place we did not drift towards Point Elizabeth, but sailed there, and at no time were we without steerage way. We were also equipped with oars, as well as sufficient rope to anchor anywhere along the coast. When picked up we were not several miles off the Point, but several miles off the Tiphead, being well on our way home at the time. —Yours etc.,

p. McDonald.

(Our report was based on what we regarded as reliable information. — Ed. “Star.”)
