LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MARIST CLUB ANNUAL MEETING Enthusiasm was the keynote of the proceedings at the annual general meeting of the Marist 0.8. Rugby League Club held in the training quarters in Alexander Streets, Greymouth, yesterday. About 40 members attended, the president, Mr. W. Gieseking, being in the chair. The Rev. Father Holohan was also present. The annual report, which was approved, and the balance sheet, disclosed that the Club had had a suc-
cessful year. There was a credit balance of £67/13/-, compared with £26/9/.- at the beginning of last season. The following officers were elected: Patron: Rev. Father Holohan; president, Mr. W. Gieseking; secretary, Mr. C. Robins: auditor, Mr. M. Keating; coach, Mr. Con. Hall. Delegates to the West Coast Rugby League Centre, Mr. L. Jackson and Father Gregory; delegates to the Junior Advisory Board, Bro. Tarcissius and Mr. J. Mcllroy. Committee: The captain, Mr. C. Robins, and Messrs M. Kiely, E. O’Brien, T. O'Connor, M. Buckley, T. Stapleton-and S. Molloy.
It was decided to enter one team in the senior, junior and third grade competitions, with a reservation that the third team may be entered in the junior competition instead of the third grade. The Club decided to hold the annual ball on Easter Monday night. The West Coast Rugby League’s annual general meeting will be held on Wednesday next, in the usual rooms, at 7.30 p.m. All interested are invited.
