RUGBY FOOTBALL

ARMY DEFEAT NAVY. (Australian Press Association.) (By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.) LONDON, March 23. .At Twickenham, at Rugby football, the Army beat the Navy by 17 to 11. UNITED v. BRUNNER This game, the first of the season, was interesting in that it marked the re-entrance of Brunner into the realm of Coast Rugby. A United team from mixed grades played a weighty Brunner fifteen on Saturday, winning by 8 points to 5. Naturally the game was by no means brilliant but it had the effect of stamping the new team a solid combination.
