The dual Derby winner Wrackler gave a taste of his quality by beating a smart field of milers in the Flying Handicap at Forbury. This youngster should improve on anything he has yet done as he is bred in the purple, his sire being the American importation Wrack by Pe’ter the Great while his dam Trix Pointer a high class performer and Cup winner is also an American importation. The half brother to Pilliewinkie, Arikiwai and Sprinkler, Toawai raced in improved fashion <ft Trentham suggesting that his turn will come shortly. Another one of G. D. Jones’ team who showed promising form was Paquito by Thurnham-Madrid, the dam of Malaga an Auckland Cup winner.
