Further particulars of the destruction of cattle by lightning at Mr A. O. Beyer’s farm at Rotokohu on Friday morning last, show that in all some fifteen head of dairy cows in full profit were knocked down, nine being killed outright. This means a very serious loss to Air Beyer. Mr S. G. Pascoe was a visitor to Reefton from Nelson over the weekend. The following is the handicap for the Reefton Cycling Club’s bicycle road race to be held on Wednesday, the distance being from the Council Chambers to Brazil’s and return. —C. Coxall scr., W.
