PALMERSTON N., December 29. An unusual application was made to a Justice of the Peace in the Police Court this morning, when Hector Norman Suisted requested io be released from a surety of £lOO as bondsman for Janies Morton McGill, at present on remand on a, charge of allegedly breaking and entering the premises of James Clarke Christie, and stealing a sale containing cash and cheques. Petitioner stated various reasons in support of the application, adding that he did not think McGill’s conduct had been satisfactory since bail was allowed. He feared McGill would clear out* Ihe Bench granted release and issued a warrant for the arrest of McGill.
