WESTPORT, December 6. Sailed at 6.38 a.m., Kaimai, for Greymouth.
SHIPPING NOTES.
The Kaimai is due to-night from Wellington, via Westport, to load coal for Wellington and Napier. The Kaitangata sails to-morrow morning with’ coal and timber for Miramar and Wellington. The Kartigi leaves Auckland this evening for Greymouth with general cargo. On arrival she will take a full cargo of timber for Melbourne.
The Orepuki left Wellington yesterday for Nelson, Westport and Greymouth with general cargo. After discharge she will probably load coal for Tarakohe.
The Titoki leaves Lyttelton on Tuesday for Nelson, Westport and Greymouth, with general cargo. She will load coal for Wanganui. The Gabriella is due at Greymouth on December 14, to load timber for Melbourne and Sydney. She will clear all the stocks at the mills awaiting shipment before Christmas. The Kalingo is loading a cargo of timber for Sydney, sailing on Friday. The Ihumata will sail tonight for Melbourne, with a full cargo of timber.
P. AND O PROFITS LONDON, Dec. 3. The report of the P. and O. Company shows that after adding £92,050 to reserve and setting aside £1,000,000 premium received on the issue of new deferred stock for new tonnage construction, there remains a. credit balance of £923,029. It is proposed to add £103,132 to the reserve for the redemption of debentures, £20,000 to the provident and good service fund, and carry forward £121,929.
