SCOTTISH HYDRO.

RUGBY, November 13

A syndicate has been formed td establish an important hydro-electric power scheme involving capital of several millions, in the Galloway district of South-Western Scotland.

The Electricity Board will control tho scheine, which will include five power stations. The River Dee will be the principal waterway to be harnessed, but all the lochs, including Loch Doon and its tributaries, arej according to reports ,to be utilised. It is proposed, that the electrical power generated will be carried to industrial centres,. absorbing the existing small organisations.

VANCOUVER, Nov. 15.

A message from Edmonton (Alberta) states that the wool growers are proceeding with the formation of a cooperative marketing pool on a contract basis, as in the wheat pool, instead of a voluntary basis on which the Alberta growers are now marketing through the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers’ Association.
