WAIUTA NOTES

(Our Own Correspondent.) The local cricket club is withdrawing from the competitions owing to the expense of travelling. An endeavour is being made to form a Northern Association comprising Reefton,. Grey Valley and Waiuta. Mestrs W. Clayton, J. 0. Byrne, members of the Inangahua County Council, accompanied by Mr W. F. Brett and Mr J. McLennan, inspected the various roads and streets in the township on Wednesday. Very heavy rain fell on Friday night, and on Monday morning 225 points were registered for the week-end.
