NELSON CREEK’S TOUR.

The combined Westport-Denniston Rugby League gave a very poor ■display against the visiting Nelson Creek team at Westport on Saturday, being beaten by 28 to 2. The Westport team failed throughout to give anything like a good display 61 the game, and Nelson Creek had the game well in hand all the way. In the first half the local team was playing against the wind and the visitors scored 14 to nil. In the second half it was expected that Westport would make a. better showing, but the final score was 28 to 2.

Nelson Creek journeyed to Granity on Sunday, where they met a stronger combination than at Westport. They 'had to fight all the 'way in the first spell, and the half-time score was six to nil in their favour. However, better condition and sound combination took their toll in the second half, and the game finished up -with the score 18 to 5 in favour of Nelson Creek.
