Civil cases were dealt with by Mr W. : Meldrum, S.M., at the Greymouth! Court to-day. Judgment for plaintiff was given in the case of S. F. White (executor of the estate of the late J. F. White) v. Jeremiah Sullivan, £l6 19/3, with £3 9/- costs. On a judgment summons, E. J. Hill was ordered to pay to R. S. Palmer £22 14/1, with £1 11/6 solicitor’s fee, forthwith, in default 30 days’ imprisonment. Mr G. A. Revell, who appeared for the judgment creditor, said he understood that Hill had gone to Wellington, and asked that the order be made to provide for imprisonment at Wellington. This was agreed to by the S.M.

E. J. Hill was ordered to pay to A. B. Donald, Ltd., £4l 15/3, with solicitor’s fee £1 11/6, forthwith, in default 30 days’ imprisonment at Wellington, warrant to be suspended so long as Hill pays £3 per month, with the first payment on October 21. E. Cunningham was ordered to pay Thomas Lloyd £ll 6/-, with solicitor’s fee £1 1/-, forthwith, in default 14 days’ imprisonment.
