An electrical storm of unusual intensity lasted for soine hours early §n Saturday morning. Forked .lightning from the north and west lit up the countryside. Some rain fell on Sunday. Late on Sunday evening a gale of cyclonic force sprang up and raged into Monday morning, with .driving showers of rain and hail. Sixty-six points of rain were registered for the week-end. The rain early on Sunday mornirig brought a deposit of mud, which was noticed on windows and in vessels outside by many residents.
