Mr. F. W. O. Smith, the Chairman of the Nelson Education Board, and a member of other local bodies, has been selected to contest the Nelson seat in the Reform interest at the general election.

Mr Robert W. Wightman, dairy farmer, of Mount Hutt, Methven, announces his candidature for the midCanterbury seat as an Independent.
TAURANGA CANDIDATE.
AUCKLAND, September 28
Mr F. Colbeck, of Morrinsville, meinber of the Advisory Council of the Dominion Farmers’ Union, has been selected by the Country Party to contest the Tauranga seat.
