COUGH MIXTURE FACTS. MONEY- SAVING REMEDY EASILY MADE AT HOME. Qualified Chemist’s Recipe. All cough and cold remedies are “mixtures” in that they all contain the undiluted “essence,” and, of course, the necessary water and sweetening. You save a lot of money by buying essence only, and adding the water and sweetening yourself. Into a jug put four tablespoonfuls of sugar, three of treacle, two of vinegar, and a large breakfastcupful of warm water. Stir till dissolved,, add a bottle of “Heenzo”. (Hean’s Essence) and shake well. You thus get the equivalent of eight bottles of cough mixture for the price of one. Many people use “Heenzo” undiluted by putting a few drops on lump sugar or by adding a few drops to a little hot water with some sugar. The latter method is very warming and soothing, and soon removes a cold or chill. , “Heenzo” eases all kinds of coughs, and is a handy and genuine remedy for all the usual throat, chest and lung troubles. 2/6 a bottle, at all chemists and stores. —15.
