Deputy Rachitch, despite the efforts of his friends, who tried to restrain him, emptied his revolver into the Opposition benches. Deputies Paul itaditch and Djwra Bassaritchck were killed. Deputy Stephen Raditch was among those wounded.

Rachitch after the shooting fled, but he was arrested.
