JUDGE’S ADVICE TO PARTIES.

LONDON. June 21
The £50,000 estate of a Newport banker. Chajrles Joseph Brown, is in dispute in the Probate Court. His housekeeper, Amy Ansell, produced a will dated May 12. 1927. The defence alleged that this will had not been properly executed, and that. Brown was ol unsound mind. Airs. Arabella Burgess submitted a will dated January 6, 1927. and was supported therein by four childran of Brown's brother, residing in New Zealand.
The Judge asked counsel how much of the estate would be consumed by litigation. The Judge said that he was always anxious to get people 1o put their heads together, as litigation was the most foolish of all ways of wasting money. The lawyers always got the best of it. The case was adjourned. LATER. The Brown case was settled under forms, and the estate is divided in equal shares between the plaintiff and three nephews and a. niece in New Zealand, the will of 12/5/27 being admitted toprobate. The Judge congratulated the parties on the very nice conclusion, remarking that the division was most just.
