Howie, chief officer of the Wahine, has taken command of the Opihi. The Kaimai sailed last night for Wellington, with a cargo of coal, timber and general cargo. The Tees is due on Friday from Wellington, with general cargo. She will load timber for Petone, and will sail from Wellington for Chatham Islands. The Regulus is due to-morrow night from Onakaka to load coal for Wanganui. The Titoki is due to-night from Wellington, via way ports, with general cargo.” After discharge she will load coal for Nelson. HINEMOA’S ROUGH TRIP. AUCKLAND, May 31. The Hinemoa, which left Auckland on May 9, on arrival, for a leper island cruise, encountered very bad weather. She was hove to during a gale on May 13. The decks were flooded. Considerable damage was done to deck fittings. One big sea shifted the Kedge anchor, weighing over a ton, from its lashings, carried away the ship’s figurehead, and flooded the seamen’s quarters, there being three feet of water in the forecastle during the gale. She was detained for two days on the voyage to Ratatonga, on accouitit of the gale.
