(To the Editor.) Sir, —The last English mail brought an item of news which will, I think, be of interest to all people. The “Report on the Health of the British Army for 1926” recently published, contains this paragraph :*“The soldier of to-day has, to a very large extent, given up the consumption of alcohol, beer, and other intoxicating beverages. These have been replaced by cocoa, and coffee and other soft drinks. Yours etc., — ERGO. Christchurch, May 14.
