A mail bag containing about £2OO disappeared between Adelaide and Hilton. The money was intended for war pensions at Hilton. VICTORIAN RAILWAYS. MELBOURNE, April 28. The Chairman of the Victorian Railways Commission (Mr Clapp) estimates the total loss annually to the railways through the competition of tramways, motor* buses, touring buses, and commercial vehicles, at £246,000. The total loss through motor transport competition alone was £821,000.
