Frank Edwards was acquitted on a charge of murdering Sullivan at Newcastle.

WORKERS KILLED. SYDNEY, March 22

A number of workmen were working on a scaffold, building additions to the Hotel Metropole, in the city, when the scaffold collapsed, and the mon fell 120 feet into the street. An apprentice, Frfmk Bring, and a workman. William Chorton, we're killed. Eight other men were injured and taken to the hospital.

LORRY FATALITIES. SYDNEY, March 22. A motor lorry, containing a family named Ludmore, returning from the Merriwa Show to Muswell Brook, capsized. Mrs. Ludmore and her nineteen months old baby, and son, aged six, were killed. The husband, who was driving, and two daughters, were slightly injured. FEDERAL POLITICS. CANBERRA, March 22. In the House of Representatives, Mr. Brennan moved the motion of censure (in connection with the Abraham income tax evasion agreement). Mr. Bruce regarded it so seriously that, he moved to suspend standing orders to allow discussion to proceed immediately. . LATER. Mr Brennan’s censure motion was defeated by 38 votes to 15, on a party division.
