A good e'hjoyteerit took place on the local bowlihg green bh' Sunday when the members entertained the ladies Who helve .worked so hard during the season. The weather was showery but the games were pteyhd in between. The ladies- were very keen oh the game Add got sb interested in it that they said it was nd wonder that their husbands when they left hbme - were always td be found oh the bowling green. Afteriioon tjji was purveyed by the members. There were about 150 spectators and every one enjoyed themselves and / hopfed- it would hot be lo'ng until another ladies’ tournament took place. The winners of the sections with five wins were Ist Mrs. . Halliday,- sated set; 2nd Mrs. Boddy; 3rd Mrs. Cooke 4 wins; 4th Mrs. Kroening; sth Mrs. Braithwaite, 6th Mrs. ■ Radcliffe. All the other ladies received a prize*; Twenty-one entries were received. At the close of play all adjourned to the club house: for the presentation, of prizes. Mf. Munson. President; thanked the ladies- fbr coming. He ebrrimbnied on th’e high standard of play' shown and said that many of the ladies could whack theft husbands;

he Mayor, Mr. R. McTriggart; made the presentations ®f the prizes. He congratulated the Club; though youh£, was now orie of the strongest in the Dominion.
