Wanganui: N.E. light breeze, temp. 62, blue sky, tides poor, sea smooth; Wellington; S.S.E. breeze, 60, cloudy; Westport; Westerly breeze, 63, blue sky, tides poor, sea smooth, rain 16 pts.; Arthur’s Pass: S.W. breeze, 55, overcast; Christchurch: Calm, 64, overcast; Dunedin: Calm, 58, cloudy, tides good; Bluff: Calm, 56, blue skyt. tides moderate, sea smooth. WEATHER FORECAST. The indications are for variable and moderate breezes and later northerly moderate breezes. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather shortly but apepars likely to be unsettled. The barometer has a falling tendency. Seas* and tides moderate.
