SISTER MALONEY.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Would you insert in your paper these few lines. The old people and staff of the Old People’s Home presented Sister Kate Maloney with a splendid presentation at the Home yesterday afternoon, when they bade good-bye to Sister Maloney on her leaving. 1 can assure you, Sir, we all feel sorry at her leaving, I knowing hei for over seven years, and from the first day she came here to the present she never changed in her mild and kind disposition ,all the time eager to help anyone who required her services. She is going away now with the goodwill and respect of everyone in this Home, old people and staff. I hope that we will have one that will take her place. We all wish her a long and prosperous life, and if she again acts as a Sister in any other hospital she ‘will be promoted to the position of Matron, and will be as well liked as she has been here. When leaving, Mr H. Geaney presented a gift to her and made a few kind remarks. We were glad to see one of the staff active in every way, and that is Archy Brown. Hoping, Sir, you will publish these few lines, I shall feel thankful. — Yours etc., . H. GEANEY.
