YOUNG VANDALS

ORGY OF SHOOTING. SYDNEY, Sept. 16. Two boys, both about 13 years of age, indulged in an orgy of destruction at Tyalgum recently. Armed with pea-rifles, they killed and wounded several horses, smashed every window in an unoccupied bouse, and riddled the tank with bullets. The house stands in what is called Brown’s paddock, and after they had wrecked the windows and ruined the tank, the boys shot at a horse grazing nearby. Three horses standing in a bunch were selected for their next target. After killing one of them and wounding another, they killed a valuable jumping pony belonging to Mr W. Smith. The boys had another bout of random shooting the next day, and residents complained to the police that it was unsafe to walk abroad.
