EVENING PAPER BEST

TEST OF ADVERTISING VALUE. An Adelaide business man wrote to Mr Lee Neil, managing director of Myer Emporium Ltd., the gigantic Melbourne store, seeking opinion as to the value of a leading evening paper for advertising purposes, and Mr Lee Neil replied: ■‘ln response to ypur enquiry as to flic value of the evening paper medium for advertisements in our particular business, may 1 say that without exception we of the Myer Emporium' Ltd. find it far the.most effective and resultful of all our methods of advertising. Our account with the Melbourne ‘Herald’ is about three times larger than it is with ‘The Argus,’ and four times greater than ‘The Age,’ and we have found in actual experience that the women of our community read the evening papers very keenly and respond immediately to our announcements.”
