Eye witnesses describe the terrible scene which culminated in the murder on the Paris-Amiens train. When the train began to move from Paris, Sadillak, a butler, a villainous-looking individual 'of herculean proportions, addressed repeated and improper remarks to his fellow travellers, chiefly young men and girls. The latter fled through the corridor, and entered another compartment, which Sadillak attempted to break into.

A fellow traveller named Belet, a bank clerk, remonstrated with him, declaring he was acting like a madman. Sadillak snatched a large knife from a suitcase and stabbed Belet in the neck and instantly killed him. He also knifed three others in a scuffle.

The gibls pulled the alarm signal and the train stopped. Sadillak flung out the body, leaped down, and was lost in darkness. He was arrested at dawn in.a garden, after savagely biting two policemen, and injuring a journalist. EX-CONVICT’S CONFESSION. PARIS, Sept. 8. A man named Lyeger was arrested at Parthenay in connection with the derailment of the Bordeaux express on September 2. He told the Magistrate he had been sentenced fifteen times, chiefly for arson. He said that he tampered with the railway alone in a fit of anger, after his dismissal from railway workshops. He was not connected with any political party. The police are testing his Statements in view of his feeble-minded condition. MISHAP AT ADDINGTON. (Per Press Association.) . . 3 CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 8. Five trucks, part of a long goods train, jumped the points on No. 3 track near Addington station this afternoon, one overturning, and the others balancing at a dangerous angle. Three carriages were attached tb the train, but they were unoccupied, and stayed on the rails. The accident occurred during shunting operations. The North line was blocked, but the quick work of the railwaymen - cleared the track before any serious delay was caused.
