MAN MISSING

A NELSON MYSTERY. (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM. Sept. 1. The curious disappearance of David Jones, a Canvastown resident, whilst on a visit to Nelson, is puzzling his friends and relatives and the police, to whom the case has been reported. Jones, single, aged about 50 years, left Canvastofn about a fortnight ago with his sister, Miss C. Jones, to visit relatives in Nelson. He went to Mrs R. Murray’s, at Britannia Heights, and it was from that address that he disappeared so suddenly and mysteriously. Search parties have been working from the Nelson end, where the police are directing operations, but so fai’ no results have attended the efforts that have been made to trace the missing man. One day last week, it is reported from Canvastown, tha.fr workmen on Whangama Hill met Jones wandering about and gave him food, but since then nothing has been heard of him.
