SHIPPING NOTES.

The Kahika sailed early this morning for Wellington, coal laden.

The Alexander is due tonight from Wellington, via Nelson and Westport, with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Tarakohe. The Kaitoa leaves Onehiinga today for Nelson, Westport and Greymouth with general cargo. The Ihumata is due from Wanganui to-day, and will load a cargo of timber for Sydney.

SMALL STEAMER SOLD.

AUCKLAND, August 30.

The steamer Ohinemuri, of 52 tons, was sold at auction to-day to Captain W. Dixon, of Bluff, for £425. The vessel is expected to leave Auckland for Bluff at an early date. She is to be used in connection with her new owner’s blue cod fishing business. She was built in Auckland in 1891.
