The Maroro sailed to-day with a cargo of coal for Gisborne. The Poolta is due on Sunday from Lyttelton, and will load timber for Sydney and Brisbane. The Kahika is due on Sunday from Lyttelton, and will load coal and timber for Miramar and Wellington. The Kaiapoi is loading timber for Melbourne and Fremantle, and sails on Sunday. The Gabriella is due from Wanganui on August 31, and will load a cargo of timber for Sydney. The Titoki sailed last night with a cargo of coal for Tarakohe. The Alexander arrived from Wellington this morning with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Wanganui, and sails to-night. The Kittawa leaves Onehunga on Wednesday for Nelson and Coast. The Regulus leaves Wellington on Tuesday for Nelson, Westport and Greypiouth with general cargo. After discharge she loads for Picton.

The Kaikorai has been recommissioned at Port Chalmers, and is in command of Catpain J. L. Brisco. His deck officers are: Chief, Mr. N. Buxton second, Mr. W. J. Hill; third: Mr. P. D. Thompson. Mr. C. G. Hill has been appointed third officer of the Kartigi, Mr. J. E. Broughton having been granted holidays'. Captain S. Hewitt has been appointed master of the Kauri. Captain M- McKenzie has reported from holidays, and is being appointed io command the Ngatoro. Captain R. Huntly transfers to command of the Kpwhai, relieving Captain E. J. Gibson for holidays. Mr. D. A. Menlove, third officer of the Kauri, is transferring to the Waikouai(i in a similar capacity, relieving Mr. L. L. Clark to sit for his certificate. PORT OF GREYMOUTH. The return of exports from the Port of Greymouth for the four-weekly period, ended July 23, was: —Coal: State Mines 5092 tops, Rapahoe 1748 tons, Blackball 6793 tons, Paparoa 1011 tons, Reef ton 91 tons; total 14,735 tons. Timber: 2,179,244 super, feet.

MAMARI’S MISHAP. BUENOS AYRES, August 12 The surveyor’s preliminary report states that the Mamari’s lower plates, starboard and port, are crumpled. All the holds are dry. It is probable that dry docking will be unnecessary, as temporary repairs can be completed in ten days.
